AGENCY SEEKS DIGITAL MARKETING MANAGER. The Ivy Group seeks a digitally savvy marketer who is equally skilled in navigating client relationships and Google algorithm updates. This Digital Marketing Manager will preside over the agency's marketing tech--a collaborator with our current Digital Marketing Manager's content development queendom. The Digital Marketing Managers operate as player-coaches, taking an active role in both creating and overseeing campaigns. The ideal candidate greets changing technologies with open arms, impeccably manages complex projects, and doesn't take Google at its word.

This position is in person in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients and team members
  • Plan and oversee all project details, including budget, timeline, deliverables, and resource allocation
  • Scope, draft, and prepare proposals in response to prospect inquiries
  • Create, actively manage, and refine paid search campaigns using Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising (Bing)
  • Create, actively manage, and refine display and native campaigns
  • Create, actively manage, and refine social media content and ads using Meta Business Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and other platforms
  • Configure digital marketing campaign tracking using, e.g., GA4, Google Tag Manager
  • Perform technical and content quality assurance checks on reports and reporting dashboards (e.g., Looker Studio), marketing emails (e.g., MailChimp), website articles (e.g., WordPress), and digital campaigns (e.g., Google Ads)
  • Ideate, plan, and oversee performance-driven communications strategies
  • Manage the preparation of informative, readable reports; gauge impact and recommend next steps
  • Identify, critically vet, and recommend marketing technologies for more efficient and effective campaigns, e.g., marketing automation, social media management, analytics and reporting, CRM, etc.
  • Integrate various data sources such as CRMs, ecommerce platforms, and GA4 so that all tools "talk" to each other
  • Review and revise marketing content for client alignment, technical compliance, adherence to documentation, search engine optimization, and platform best practices.
  • Skillfully leverage and maintain certifications in Google business products such as Analytics, Ad Manager, Ads, Business Profile Manager, Search Console, Tag Manager, etc.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of marketing best practices and evaluate emerging channels

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience creating and managing digital marketing campaigns
  • In-depth knowledge of Google Ads, social media platforms, WordPress, email marketing platforms, and search engine optimization
  • Ability to critically review and recommend tools for a right-sized marketing technology stack
  • Superb analytical skills and technical aptitude
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to tackle complex tasks independently with sound judgment, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Enthusiasm for collaborating with coworkers and clients to deliver the best work possible
  • Passion for helping communities and purpose-driven brands thrive
  • Preferred: Proposal development or evaluation experience
  • Preferred: Higher education marketing experience
  • Preferred: Diversity of experience
